Holistic Foot Care/ Advanced Pedicure

What is a pedicure?

The heels are the carrier of the whole body, and the greatest weight rests on them. Cracked heels not only can hurt, but also do not look aesthetically pleasing. People have been pedicuring their nails for more than 4,000 years.

These innocent looking cracks can quickly turn into fissures. They affect our health and well-being.

The indicators for the appointment with a qualified manicurist/pedicurist and foot heath practitioner are:

  • Shortening nails

  • Polishing

  • Applying varnish

  • Making a gel polish on the toenails

  • Reconstructing the nail with gel or acrylic

  • Cracked heels and fissures therapy

  • Corns, blisters

  • Calluses on feet

  • Verruca/ viral wart treatment

  • Fungal nail treatment

  • Ingrown toenail treatment

  • Trim toenails

Why do heels crack?

  • Dry skin, overweight

  • Lack of moisture, lack of hygiene

  • Taking a lot of medications, e.g. to thin the blood

  • Inadequate diet, low in vitamin A.

  • Too frequent and too deep removal of the epidermis (for the so-called baby skin)

  • Wrong footwear (too tight or made of synthetic materials, thin sole)

  • Genetic tendencies (very rare)

What does pedicure look like?

Pedicures generally take approximately 45 minutes to an hour. The treatment includes care not only for the toenails, but also dead skin cells. They are rubbed off the bottom of the feet using a podiatry milling machine. Skin care is often provided with granular exfoliation, moisturizing and massage.

Care after treatment!

Follow the specialist's instructions!

  • Buy appropriate footwear, matching the size of your feet (do not buy tight and uncomfortable shoes)

  • Wear cotton socks

  • For skin care use appropriate preparations, with the appropriate amount of urea

  • Do not use sharp tools when doing the pedicure yourself

  • If necessary, wear properly selected insoles
